Going back to the east
Back to the roots of MUP for 2025! We are going back to the eastern side of the U.P. Showing love to the past but with a new style of route – mixed surface.
Who is this event for?
Folks that love mixed surface riding!
You can ride a bike with wider tires that can handle mountain bike trails, seasonal roads, sand, gravel, and multi-use paths. Final route should be about 70% pavement and 30% gravel, trail, or seasonal road. Tires should be 38c or larger and able to handle these conditions. MUP is no longer a pavement only based event.

“The LMB staff and volunteers at the MUP went above and beyond to ensure the cyclists had a fantastic trip. The routes were great. The catered food was amazing. It was hard not to overeat every day because the food was so good. It was my first trip with the LMB, and it won’t be my last. There were many people on the trip that came from several other states too. Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is one of the most beautiful places to ride. This is one trip, that everyone must do, at least once.”
Jan Mack, Frequent touring rider and Wish-a Mile #teamalex participant.
